3 Reasons for feeling tired – even when you sleep enough

  • by

Do you ever experience feeling tired even when you sleep enough?

Here are 3 possible reasons and how to fix them so that you can get your energy back:

1. Overeating processed sugars and “white carbs” (like bread and pasta)

Sugar gives you an energy rush (due to the sugars flooding your blood), but that’s short-lived. Your body quickly releases insulin to clear the blood of sugar, resulting in an energy crash.

Reaching for sugary food for energy creates the opposite result.

(Plus, it puts an unnecessary burden on your body and causes many health issues in the long term.)

2. Missing nutrients from your food

Food was meant to fuel the body and give you energy. However, not everything we fill our stomachs with is really “food”. If your food has zero nutrients, it will leave you with a full stomach yet feeling tired and sluggish. A good protein source + lots of veggies (veggies should take up half of your plate, and potato doesn’t count) is the basis of a nutrient-rich meal.

And let’s not forget water! Water is actually the number 1. nutrient the body needs. Not drinking enough water will make you feel tired.

3. Not doing a vigorous exercise minimum 3 times a week

The oxygen you breathe in and the nutrients from food need to reach all the cells in your body for thriving health and to feel energised. How do they get there? With the blood. Blood carries all the oxygen and nutrients to the cells. BUT! For the blood to reach even the tiniest blood vessels, your heart needs to do some extra work – through vigorous exercise.

In other words – without vigorous exercise, many cells in your body won’t get the necessary oxygen and nutrients to thrive. And that will leave you feeling tired all the time. (Plus, it results in long-term health issues.)

Why not do it the fun way?

Understandably, the last thing you want to do when you are tired is to exercise. But imagine how amazing your body will feel with all that oxygen and nutrients reaching every single cell in your body!

An instant energy boost + building the foundation for your long-term health – that’s what you get every time you do a class.
